Take a peek at the fab life of blogger, vegan, and fitness enthusiast, Helga Weber!
How do you plan your week ahead?
I work in advertising and our schedules and work load can be unpredictable so I don’t even bother making any sense out of it. I just welcome things as they’re thrown at me and that’s when I get down to business!
How do you prioritize your to-do list with daily/weekly commitments or tasks?
I get the distracting things out of the way before anything else. Example: I get to the office and there’s a new episode of Game of Thrones; I know I’m going to be thinking about GoT the whole day. Might as well watch it and get it out of the way so I can focus on work!
What’s the best way to start the week?
With a great workout! I usually go to the gym to lift weights or take a yoga class at LIFE.
Tell us about your morning routine. What gets you pumped up in the morning?
I get up, say hi to my cats (I have nine now!), jump in the shower, and then get ready for work while catching up on social media. Depending on my mood, I’ll listen to Carly Rae Jepsen or Rihanna. Carly if I’m feeling cute, Rihanna if I wanna feel like a baddie.
How do you take breaks on a typical weekday?
I’ll take a nap. I’m a nap enthusiast! I’ve set up a sleeping nook at work that everyone uses: It’s got a snuggly pillow and blankets.
What’s your go-to nightcap?
A green smoothie! My favorite is banana, strawberries, kale or lettuce, and a little spirulina.
What’s the best way to spend Friday night?
I used to go out and get drunk Friday nights, but since quitting smoking, I avoid trigger places and just head to the gym. LOL. My Friday nights are now for curling dumbbells, not beer bottles!
How do you relax on the weekends?
Doing the groceries then trying a new vegan or vegetarian restaurant before heading home to plant myself under the covers with Netflix and my guy’s kittens. I just started White Gold. If we’re feeling indulgent, we’ll go for massages.
The Bellas would love to know how you plan your awesome looks. Can you share your fashion/beauty secrets?
I moisturize with argan oil, move my body as much as I can, and eat a vegan diet for that natural glow. <3
Helga’s 3 Planning Tips
1) One step at a time. It may not seem like it, but I’m an ISTP which makes me very practical and methodical. When there’s something that needs to be done, whether it’s a trip, an errand, or a work thing, I map out the steps in my head and try to stick to that. I get annoyed when things get gulo-gulo, which I’m trying to work on. LOL.
2) Make time for things that matter. With nine cats, a full-time job, and a daily commute that can take up to 4 hours, I make sure I allot time to cook my meals and go to the gym.
3) Analog is still better than digital! I know there are a ton of productivity and calendar apps out there, but nothing beats having a good ole paper planner.
